Aerial photos show ‘historic’ flooding across Louisiana

14 August 2016 (AP) – Emergency crews in Louisiana worked through Saturday night to rescue thousands of residents in the southern part of the state from their cars and homes overwhelmed with flood waters. At least three people were killed in the deadly flooding that state officials are calling “historic.” From the sky looking down on city, the roofs of homes can be seen surrounded by water, while partly submerged vehicles are abandoned on roads. Louisiana State Police officials say about 125 vehicles were left along Interstate 12 near Baton Rouge. [more]
